Cycling through the heather

Cycling through the heather in Limburg
Discover the new cycle path through the Hoge Kempen National Park. This cycling destination is one of the three major cycling attractions in the province of Limburg. This cycle path in the Mechelse Heide connects cycle junctions 550 and 551 via a 300-metre-long cycle bridge over the road to Zutendaal in Maasmechelen.

Of the three unique cycle paths in Limburg, ‘Cycling through the Heather’ is the one furthest from Park Molenheide. We therefore do not recommend this cycle trip with small children, unless they are seated in a child seat. From our holiday park, you can certainly expect around an hour and a half of cycling fun.

New since March ’23: A safe cycle bridge, 45 metres long and 7 metres wide, spanning the main road – perfect for getting from Park Molenheide onto the cycle route network with ease.
