Welcome to the Antwerp ZOO, the oldest zoo in Belgium. The zoo was opened on 21 July 1843, making it the oldest zoo in Belgium and one of the oldest zoos in the world The Antwerp Zoo is home to some 464 animals. The zoo is located in the heart of Antwerp. The décor is part of the cultural heritage. Hundreds of exotic animals are glad to welcome you, including elephants, spectacled bears, (sea) lions, okapis, gorillas, etc.
