Bosland, dreaming among the trees

Bosland

Bosland is an adventurous area where children can explore to their heart’s content. The play woods are made especially for them. Also outside of these, the woods are full of life. You can walk forever through woods and valleys. The shortest walks are planned especially for the little ones.  Cyclists and horseback riders can enjoy the endless surroundings on the many trails. You can take a break at one of the hidden picnic areas in the wonderful quiet of the woods or at a terrace nearby. For the children, Bosland is one big adventure forest: playing in the play woods, digging in the largest sandbox in Flanders... Fun guaranteed! Bosland means indulging in a surprising nature that looks a little different every day. Bosland is an intriguing but fitting name for the largest nature and forest project of Flanders that is spread out over the municipalities of Lommel, Hechtel, Eksel and Overpelt.  The story of Bosland is told based on three main themes: ‘Into the tree’, ‘Back to the roots’ and ‘Bite the Sand’
