Route to Park Molenheide

Park Molenheide is situated in the Houthalen-Helchteren territory of Limburg, the greenest province of Flanders. If you are travelling by car, take the E314 motorway and exit at junction 29. Then join the main road to Eindhoven. After about 8 km you will see a turning to the right indicated as 'Park Molenheide'.

Travellers by train should disembark at Hasselt Station and then take bus 18A. This stops at just 2 km from the Park. For even more comfort you can use our shuttle service, which travels regularly between the park and Hasselt Station. This service must be booked in advance.

Parking

Visitors for one day can park in the large parking lot in front of the centre building (where the swimming pool, playground, reception and the catering establishments are located).

Overnight guests receive a parking card providing access to the parking lots on the park.  Most of the bungalows have their own private parking space.

Wheelchair access

All bungalows have a wide entrance so that wheelchair users can easily enter the premises.  The interior doors have standard dimensions. 

The Oasis (Comfort Plus) type bungalows have an entrance that has been adjusted so that wheelchair users can easily enter and exit the premises. The bungalow also has a wider toilet.

Pets

A number of bungalows are specially designed to accommodate pets. A maximum of one pet (dog, cat, etc.) is allowed and this must be indicated in advance when booking.  Pets causing nuisance and/or terror will not be permitted. No pets are allowed in the catering areas and the facilities, the outdoor swimming pool and the swimming pond. A vaccination certificate is mandatory and all pets must be kept on a leash. 

Costs: € 29,00/weekend or midweek; € 45,00 for a week, and € 55.00 for periods of more than one week.

Monday and Friday are our standard arrival days. During school holidays, arrival days may vary. Our departure days are Monday and Friday and occasionally also Sunday. You can check all possible arrival days in our online booking system.

Baby under 2 years

In each bungalow it is allowed to book a maximum of 1 baby up to 2 years (on the day of arrival). Some bungalows are extremely suitable and a few less suitable. Here you should for example place the cot in the living room. You must book a supplement for this baby in the booking process. The accommodation costs are automatically charged and are € 1.95 per night. Of course the extra person will receive access to Aquapolis and KidsValley.

Group bookings

Are you looking for a suitable destination for a group holiday? Park Molenheide also comes recommended for a group holiday. A group booking consists of minimum two accommodations in the same period. Please find more information on the group bookings page.

Payment facilities

The advance is payable within 8 days after receipt of the booking confirmation/invoice. The balance should be paid, without prior notice, no later than 6 weeks before the rental start date, otherwise the booking will be cancelled. 

For bookings within 6 weeks before the rental start date, the entire amount must be paid in full within eight days. 

After receipt of the full rental price, the booking is final and the travel documents, including the voucher, will be sent by email. You must present these documents when you check in at the reception on the day of arrival. (If you do not have an email address, the documents will be sent through the post).

Preferential reservation

If  you would like to book a specific bungalow number, you can indicate this in the booking process. You will be charged a supplement of 49,00 € for this service.

Cancellation insurance

You may have (long) planned your departure date, but you can never rule out the occurrence of unexpected events that could ruin your holiday. To financially protect yourself from such risks, a customised cancellation insurance has been worked out in cooperation with Funtours.  This insurance covers the cancellation expenses (in accordance with the terms) incurred by the insured in case of cancellation due e.g. to illness, accident or death, or cancellation of leave by the employer, etc.

Gift voucher and gift token

We advise you to contact us by phone (+32 (0)11/52.10.44) stating that you have a gift voucher or gift token.  Keep the voucher or token handy when you call us.

Tourist taxes

Tourist taxes are costs incurred as a result of the exercise of a tourist activity.

At Molenheide these costs are debited at the end of the stay from the deposit, so that you are always charged the correct taxes.

Change your booking

It is best to contact Molenheide by phone (+32 (0) 11 52 10 44).   A fee of € 32,00 will be charged for each change.

Cancel your booking

All cancellations must be made in writing. 

Terms of cancellation: 

Up to 8 weeks before the rental start date: 25% of the rental price with a minimum of € 140,00.

Between 8 and 4 weeks before the rental start date: 50% of the rental price with a minimum of € 140,00.

Between 4 weeks and the rental start date: 100% of the rental price.

If you have to interrupt your stay, the entire rental amount will remain due. In case of non-payment of the reservation confirmation/invoice, the reservation will be automatically cancelled and administrative fees of € 50.00 per file/booking request will be due. When a cancellation occurs due to a forgotten payment and if you still wish come, then you must first contact the organisation for the space confirmation.  A new booking will be made.  The administrative fees of € 50.00 remain in effect at all times.

If you do not have a reservation confirmation within 24 hours of making the reservation, first check your mailbox for 'unwanted e-mail'. Is the booking confirmation not to be found here? Then you should contact our customer service.

Is there free Wi-Fi?

Free standard Wi-Fi is included in our bungalows (except Alfa and Penta). A faster connection is available for an additional fee.

What is present in the bungalow?

On the accommodation page you can find all information about the inventory of the accommodation / bungalow you booked.

Check-in

Once the booking is final your travel documents will be sent to you. You present the voucher when you check in at the reception on the day of arrival.  If you booked a Last Minute, then you can check in with the booking request that you received.

Check-in is open from 12:00 so that you can already use the park's facilities (swimming pool, playground, etc.). You can pick up the key to your bungalow from 15:00 If you arrive after 21:00 (or 17:00 during the annual closure period), you can contact the night concierge at the gate.

Check-out

Check-out is open from 9:00 to 10:30 If you depart outside of reception hours, you must deposit the check-in form with the meter readings, together with the keys, in the mailbox (on the outside of the main entrance to the centre building).  Of course, we will need your bank details (name of bank, account number, BIC and IBAN codes) in order to return the remaining amount of the security deposit.

A security deposit of € 125.00 for a weekend or midweek, and € 200.00 for one week, must be paid upon check-in.

Bank card and/or credit card

All facilities and the reception accept bank cards (PIN) and/or credit cards. In the shop you can only pay in cash. You can withdraw cash at the reception during opening hours.

Facilities on arrival and departure

When you check in (from 12:00) you receive the admission passes for the swimming pool and the playground. You can use the swimming paradise, the playground and other facilities until closing time.

Use of water and electricity

The free use of electricity (per night) depends on the type of bungalow (from 30 kWh to 50 kWh) and is more than enough for normal electricity use. Additional electricity is charged at € 0.25/kWh and will be deduced from the security deposit at the end of your holiday.

Barbecue

It is allowed to use a barbecue inside the park, but you must keep a 10 litre bucket of water within reach in case of an emergency. Park Molenheide reserves the right to forbid the use of barbecues in certain circumstances (for instance in case of extreme drought/code red).
